What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser. They are used to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, and keep the app working correctly. Moori also uses similar browser storage mechanisms (such as localStorage) for the same functional purposes.
Essential cookies
Moori uses cookies that are strictly necessary for the app to work. These include session cookies that keep you signed in while you use the app, security tokens that protect your account, and cookies that restrict access to private areas of the app to authenticated users only. You cannot opt out of these cookies — without them, the app cannot function.
Authentication (Clerk)
Account sign-in and session management is handled by Clerk. When you sign in to Moori, Clerk sets authentication and security cookies in your browser. These are necessary for the sign-in flow, session continuity, and protecting your account. For details of how Clerk handles authentication data, please refer to Clerk's Privacy Policy.
App preferences
Moori may store your light or dark appearance preference locally in your browser so that the app looks the way you chose on your next visit. This preference is stored in your browser's local storage and is never sent to our servers. For signed-in users, Moori may also use localStorage to remember which support messages you have already read, so the app can show unread support updates correctly. This data is stored only in your browser and is never transmitted to Moori's servers.
Analytics and advertising
Moori does not currently use advertising cookies or third-party marketing trackers. No data is shared with advertising networks. If this changes in a future version of the product, this policy will be updated before any such cookies are introduced.
Managing cookies
You can clear cookies and browser storage at any time through your browser settings. Clearing session cookies will sign you out of Moori. Most browsers also allow you to block cookies entirely, although doing so will prevent you from signing in.
